The twelfth game on the Indie Heroes Collection is Super Homebrew War: Evercade Edition. Released in 2019 and is the first of two games on this collection developed by Bite the Chili Productions. With this being the Evercade Edition, many of the available characters and stages are taken from other games in this collection, which I thought was a nice touch.
This game is very much in a basic style of Super Smash Bros. It's clear it had multiplayer in mind with its huge roster of characters and choice of game modes - which don't translate so well to a single player experience. Though, it is still a lot of frantic fun for 5 mins on your own.
Check the video below to see me failing miserably trying for any kind of win against 4 CPU opponents:
Final Thoughts
As stated above this game is not really built for single player, and like a few titles on previous collections it is awaiting its time to shine once the VS is out. Until then its a fun five minute blast but no more.
