Indie Heroes Collection 1: Flea!

The Seventh game on the Indie Heroes Collection 1 is a cheeky little beast! Flea! was developed by Lowtech Games and released in 2020. You control a continuously jumping flea and must time your movements through a ton of single screen levels littered with obstacles. By tapping one of the buttons you can lower your jumps height, but that's about as much control as you get. 

Trial and error is the name of the game, once you learn each stage you can always move past it on subsequent playthroughs, and the game throws enough lives at you that it never feels too frustrating. But you will lose a lot of lives! The save states make this game infinitely easier, but it's more fun to see how far you can get on a single run with the lives you've accumulated.

Final Thoughts

I haven't come back to this game as much as other games in the collection, but that's more of a reflection of the high level of quality on this cart rather than anything wrong with this game. It's a fine addition to the set and another ridiculously addictive title if you let it take over!
