Evercade 18: Worms Collection I - First Look

This cartridge is the closest so far I've come to having a Team 17 Alien Breed/Project X Collection in my hands. Yes I am and will always be obsessed with the idea of it. Honestly, Alien Breed Tower Assault on VS and Handheld with save states has me giddy just thinking about it. 

Alien Breed isn't all Team 17 are known for, in fact it's not even their most beloved series - that honour falls to Worms!

Memories of taking it in turns to blow up my mates in the original Worms instantly came to mind when the game's menu flashed up on screen. Unlike the other two titles which I've never had the chance to play before. 

It's nice to see they have fleshed out a deeper single player experience in Armageddon, as that's the main element the original Worms lacked. And, I am loving the little random animated interludes, it's almost worth picking up the cartridge for them alone.

The final game, Worms Blast, has its own spin on one of my favourite puzzle series Bust a Move.  I was thankful for the extensive tutorial they offered at the start to show me the ropes, I needed it! 

All in all this looks to be a fun set, and it's great to see my favourite team logo pop up on the screen when booting up each game.  I will return with a deeper look at all three titles soon. Until next time my friends, be seeing you x
